RLI Investors expands to Berlin

RLI Investors (RLI) is expanding its presence in Germany and is to open another branch office in Berlin this month. In future, asset management across Europe will be coordinated from two locations in Germany. The Berlin office will be directly managed by Katrin Poos, who is based in the German capital and will continue to have overall responsibility for asset management.

During her 25-year career as managing director of a range of logistics real estate companies, Katrin Poos has developed extensive expertise in national and international asset and acquisition management.

Umut Ertan, founder and partner in RLI Investors, comments on the decision to choose Berlin as an additional location for the company:  “Berlin has an international appeal that is crucial for our growth plans. We are very fortunate that Katrin Poos, a Berliner with an excellent network in the federal capital, is an existing member of our team. We have already secured an office and recruited the first member of staff. Further appointments are planned for this year. What’s more, development projects mean that Berlin will turn out to be the hot spot in our portfolio.”

“This is a major step for RLI, which is certain to guarantee an even more intensive and sustainable service for both our existing and future investors” adds Katrin Poos, looking ahead. “The location of the new office also has a positive effect on our ESG footprint. Many of the fund properties are very easy to reach by rail. With our planned asset management team, this will enable us to provide even closer management support for the properties and their tenants.

As well as expanding to Berlin, RLI is strengthening its Munich team with an additional expert in Europe-wide asset management and a senior fund manager with over 30 years’ experience in operational fund and portfolio management. Both new team members also have solid transaction experience.
