RLI Investors lets 10,000 square metres of logistics space in the “Log Plaza Wankelstrasse”, Kerpen

RLI Investors (RLI), an independent asset and fund manager and specialist in logistics real estate, and one of the top 6 logistics real estate investors in Germany, has let around 10,000 square metres of space in the “Log Plaza Wankelstrasse logistics centre” in Kerpen. The new tenant is G. Lache Spedition GmbH.

The owner-managed transport company, founded in 1997, has concluded a ten-year lease and s taking over the space directly from the previous tenant. After some quickly achievable conversion works, it will use the entire space for its clients’ assignments, including the storage of hazardous, potentially water-polluting substances and compounds.

Katrin Poos, Managing Director at RLI, comments: “Despite the numerous new developments in the immediate vicinity, we have succeeded in seamlessly re-letting the property, even before the lease to the previous tenant had expired. This says a lot about our tenants’ confidence in collaborating with us and about our very good knowledge of the market.“

Rheinreal Immobiliengesellschaft brokered the transaction.

RLI acquired the “Log Plaza Wankelstrasse” for the open-ended real estate special-AIF RLI Logistics Fund−Germany I in March 2016. The vendor was the developer ALCARO. The logistics park is in the Kerpen-Sindorf commercial area, with direct access to the A4 and A61 motorways. The other tenants include a global cosmetics group and a manufacturer of food-related retail products.

This means that all the logistics space in the RLI Logistics Fund−Germany I and II, a total of 736,000 square metres, continues to be fully let.
