RLI Investors re-lets logistics facility west of Cologne
RLI Investors (RLI), the Munich-based investment and asset managers for logistics real estate, have successfully re-let a logistics facility with a floor space of 10,724 square metres at Mühlenerft Business Park in the town of Bedburg.
RLI have seamlessly re-let the property built in 2002 at Robert-Bosch-Str. to Arand, a domestic appliance logistics contractor specializing in white goods. The tenant will move into the warehouse space in Bedburg stepwise during the next three years and take possession of the whole space of 10,724 square meters on 1 September 2019. Till then the vacant premises will be temporarily let to other tenants.
RLI acquired the logistics facility in March 2016 as part of an off-market deal for the open-ended segregated real estate fund (AIF) RLI Logistics Fund – Germany I. Thanks to its location in west of Cologne, Bedburg is excellently connected to the motorway network A61, enabling quick access to the A4. Moreover, the facility has a 24/7 operating permit.
“We’re delighted that we’ve managed to quickly re-let the facility – just as we predicted when we purchased it a year ago,” declared Katrin Poos, new managing director of RLI Investors. The building’s location in one of Germany’s busiest logistics regions and its suitability for alternative uses proved to be a winning combination for RLI.
